Richard loves nothing better than firing up his barbeque and cooking in the fresh air, he is usually found, glass of wine in hand, lovingly grilling his homemade burgers and tender lamb steaks. As well as sharing some top tips for how to get the best out of your grilling in the great outdoors, Richard will be showcasing some hearty reds which are just perfect with the wide range of food which you tuck in to whilst enjoying the fleeting heat of the British summertime.
Wines such as a spicy, juicy Cotes du Rhone, a peppery Barossa Shiraz, a smoky meaty Pinotage and a plump and juicy Spanish Garnacha can work a treat with meaty fayre and the plethora of summery salads which make an appearance at this time of year.
To highlight the gastronomy of his choices, Richard will bring along some nibbles including crisps and grilled sausages so that you can road test the pairings!
