Event Description
Discover new wines from Spain – Elegant wines from little known, indigenous grape varieties. Terroir driven wines from recovered abandoned vineyards in a dramatic landscape. Authentic wines. Wines with a story. Spain has it all.
There is a lot more to Spain than the four Rs of Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rias Baixas and Rueda.
In our next series of online tastings we explore why the wine world is so excited about the new generation of wines emerging from Spain.
Tasting two wines, side by side, every week we will explore a range of wine styles from across Spain. Over six weeks our tastings will include;
· Trendy Garnacha from Madrid.
· Rare grape varieties including; Alvarin, Doradilla and Pietro Picudo.
· Exciting new wines from established regions, such as Malvasia from Rioja.
· Old vine Mencía from the dramatic Sil river valley.
