Event Description
Do you know your Provence rosé from your Languedoc pinks? Or your Châteauneuf-du-Pape from other Rhône reds? Join us for a fun evening exploring powerful & biodynamic wines at Substrata Wines HQ on Dove Street in Norwich.
During the evening, we’ll taste a series of wines presented in pairs — a biodynamic Languedoc wine from Substrata alongside a more traditionally made example from Norfolk Local Wine School — allowing you to experience the differences side by side. From farming methods and fermentation to flavour, texture and aroma, we’ll uncover what really sets Substrata's wine offering apart from the rest.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy delicious nibbles from Norwich Market, perfectly suited to the wines being poured, creating a relaxed and sociable tasting experience in the heart of the city.
What are the wines? (Without spoiling the surprise)
- Upon arrival you will be offered a glass of Traditional Method Sparkling Wine.
- We will then present our first pairing of a light, summer rosé.
- Followed by a taste-off of aged and savoury gastro-favoured rosé.
- Moving onto the reds we will blind taste some quality Southern-Rhône red wines.
- And to finish, a Cru Châteauneuf-du-Pape vs the rest
What Food is on Offer?
Handily situated close to the city's historic Norwich Market - a selection of sourdough, olive oil, toasted nuts and cheeses will accompany the wines on the night.
