Online Alpine Wine

Peak Perfection. This 4 week online course via Zoom brings you a diverse and representative range of Alpine wines carefully curated by niche Alpine regional specialist, Alpine Wines. 

The 8 wines to be tasted over 4 weeks are: 

Two Swiss wines from unusual grape varieties ideally suited to the alpine climate; Doral, with more body than Chasselas and more fruit than Chardonnay and a fruity red blend of Gamaret and Garanoir. 

A selection of four Austrian wines. A perfect introduction to classic expressions of signature Austrian grape varieties from a family of winemakers established in 1849 including;

·         A Sommelier Awards Gold Medal winning Riesling.

·         A Grüner Veltliner with 6 months on the lees adding texture and body to give a wine of Burgundian richness.

·         And a crunchy, juicy, spicy Blauer Zweigelt.

Also from Austria a very rare opportunity to taste a Blaufränkisch with a bit of bottle age and drinking perfectly now. 

We will also take in the Savoie region of France to enjoy;

·         A Crémant based on local grape varieties and made in the traditional soft, creamy style.

·         A parma violet scented, bio-dynamcic red from the native Mondeuse grape variety.
