Event Description
Discover the food and wines of Brazil.
Brazil’s wines are relatively unknown. Yet the country has been producing wine commercially for at least 150 years. And we are bringing some of the very best examples to Newcastle.
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Brazil’s independence we’ll be tasting the wines alongside a selection of Brazilian street food for example;
- Kibe - stuffed and fried minced beef patties
- Empadinhas de Palmito - pastry stuffed with cheese and hearts of palm
- Pao de Queijo - little cheese bread puffs, like gougeres
- Acarajé - bean fried dumpling stuffed with prawns
A unique opportunity to sample Brazilian food and wine in a fun tasting.
Go Brazil Wines, the UK's only specialist Brazilian wine importer, will present a selection of sparkling, white and red wines from their extensive portfolio. The wines on show will cover a wide range of producers, regions and grape varieties that demonstrate the quality of contemporary Brazilian wine-making.
Taste the colours of the carnival and sample the sizzle of the samba in the wines and food of Brazil - It’s just like tasting Brazil!
