Event Description
Exploring the world of wine using wine grapes as our guide. The wine market is dominated by only 10 grape varieties yet there are over 1,000 to discover. Between these two extremes of popularity and obscurity there are grapes once banned by royal decree, grapes saved from the edge of extinction, recovered varieties offering hope in a dramatically changing climate and a world of styles and flavours.
Each evening we will start with a classic example of a noble variety, explore alternative expressions of that variety and then broaden our horizons to try less well known, under-appreciated or rare varieties that make wines in a similar style.
