As the Scottish Summer approaches, we'll be tasting all things pink from the world of wine with all proceeds from this going to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust.
Summer is the best time for Rose wine. As the sun comes out we really get in the mood for everything from the pale roses of Provence, Rose Champagne and spicy savoury roses that match summer salads. We'll be celebrating all of these as well as learning how Rose is made-hint, in most parts of the world, this is not done by blending red and white wine. We'll chat through the process of making Rose Champagne-as well as tasting one.
All profits from this tasting will go to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust. A charity close to our owner Carrie's heart, her step-father died from this awful lung disease. Although not the biggest wine fan, despite Carrie's best efforts, he loved a glass of rose, especially if it was sparkling! This is our way of honouring him and raising money to help fund research into this horrible disease.
