We continue our Italian discovery diving deep into the heart of Italy and looking at Tuscany.
Here we find the famous Sangiovese grape, the leading variety that has a major part to play in all red wines from this zone such as Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino and the hot-topical 'Supertuscans'.
The question is whether the modern-Supertuscan reds are a better purchase than traditional Sangiovese-based wines of Tuscany? Only a tasting can decide...
This tasting is designed to explore the diverse variety of wines available from Italy produced from their fascinating indigenous grape varieties most of which are only found within this country itself.
Big wine to look forward to: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG (& Chianti Classico DOCG).
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, use of professional tastings glasses and some food pairing with nibbles.
All our courses can be purchased as a Gift either as a dated or undated voucher.
