Course Description
Please note: we are still accepting bookings for this course, but the deadline to sit the exam has now passed. If you book for this course you will need to be registered to sit the exam on a later course date (our earliest date is 2nd March 2024)
This exciting and structured course is the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 Award in Wines and is intended as vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the drinks industry who have little previous knowledge of wine. The course is also increasingly popular amongst enthusiasts who have a serious interest in wine, and wish to broaden their knowledge in a structured way by gaining this internationally recognised qualification. WSET Level 2 Award in Wines has full accreditation from OfQual as part of the UK Government’s Qualifications & Credits Framework as a Level 2 Vocational Qualification.
Please Note: as the exam deadline has now passed, please contact the Wine School before booking to ensure that provision can be made. This is to ensure all students receive their study materials in advance of the start of the course, with time to familiarise themselves with the course specification and work through pre-course reading.
Our condensed course is the perfect format for someone who wishes to gain the accreditation but has little time to spare. Midweek in early January usually lends itself to relatively free diaries... but please do take into account that you will still need to complete 12 hours of private study before and/or during your course. Condensed courses suit people who are organised and very self-motivated; if you are someone who learns better with a little and often approach then our one day a week courses might suit you more. If you'd like to talk through the different options then please drop us an email and we'll come back to you with our suggestions for the learning programme which would suit you best.
