Event Description
Join wine school founder and Chief Taster Jimmy Smith on a really fascinating tasting on one of the emerging wine regions of the USA, Virginia. Its really time to take note of this southern state, because the Monticello AVA (American Viticultural Area) within Virginia has won Wine Region of the Year in Wine Enthusiast’s 2023 Wine Star Awards. The Charlottesville area was just one of five wine regions around the world nominated for this prestigious award. Jimmy travelled to Virginia in December 2024 and he has hand-picked his top drops including Nebbiolo, Cabernet Franc, Petit Manseng, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Albarino and even a cheeky hybrid.
Most of these wines are not available in the UK market, or even outside of Virginia for that matter - so these are rare wines to taste.
