South Africa’s food and wine scene is shaped by an extraordinary blend of cultures: Cape Malay spice traditions, Dutch and French settler heritage, indigenous African ingredients, and a sunny Mediterranean-style climate that makes fresh produce shine. It’s a country where braai smoke drifts through the air, fragrant spices fill the kitchen, and vibrant wines bring every dish to life.
The flavours of South Africa: Colourful, aromatic and made for sharing
South African cooking is generous, lively and built around dishes that welcome people to the table. It’s comfort food with a kick of spice, sweetness, or smoke and always bursting with personality. From the Cape's BBQ culture to iconoc dishes like Bobotie and Bunny Chow there's an exciting array of food and wine pairings to be explored.
South African Wine & Terroir: A dynamic, sunshine-driven wine landscape
South Africa’s wine regions combine old-world heritage with new-world energy. From the ocean-cooled Cape coast to the rugged inland mountains, the country’s terroir produces wines that are vibrant, expressive and brilliantly food-friendly. The evening would not be complete without paying our respect to South Africa's great black grape, Pinotage, but we will also present a complex barrel-fermented Chenin Blanc, suprisingly fresh and aromatic whites and an indulgent sweet wine.
If you love bold flavours, exciting wine styles, and discovering new regions in a relaxed, foodie-friendly setting, this Wine & Dine evening is the perfect escape.
The menu for the evening will be sent to guests one week prior to the event.

Please be aware that this event starts promptly at 7pm. We recommend that you allow up to half an hour after the stated finish time before arranging transport home as occasionally service can run a little late.
