Event Description
Welcome to Alsace, where French style meets hearty, Germanic comfort
Tucked between the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine, Alsace looks & feels like a storybook: colourful villages, timbered houses, and a food culture shaped by both French elegance and Germanic warmth.
It’s a region where generous plates, clever cooking and aromatic wines come together in a way that’s completely unique, and absolutely irresistible for curious food lovers.
The flavours of Alsace: Comforting, rustic and perfect with wine
Alsace’s cuisine is all about comfort and satisfaction, the kind of food that fills the table and the room with warmth. Expect dishes that celebrate local produce and traditional recipes passed down through generations. Sausages, cured meats, Sauerkraut, local cheeses and locally reared poultry and game often cooked in, or with, the region's wines are staples on menu's across the region. 'Flammenkuche' - thin, crispy flatbreads topped with crème fraîche, onions and bacon are one of the region's specialities.
A region that proudly labels by grape variety
Unlike most other French regions, Alsace labels its wines by grape variety. The region’s warm, dry climate and patchwork of soils create wines that are bright, aromatic and full of varietal personality. Varietals including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc & Pinot Noir shine in this unique terroir.
Throughout the evening you’ll taste, compare, and discover how these wines pair beautifully with Alsace’s comforting cuisine.
If you love exploring new flavours, discovering regional food traditions, or simply enjoy a good glass of wine with good company, this event is made for you.
The menu for the evening will be sent to guests one week prior to the event.
