Event Description
The region offers a cultural blend of modern French institutions and traditional Germanic cuisine and architecture. It is famous for wine-making, with 170km of vineyards spanning the Route des Vins d’Alsace and the stunning forests and lakes of the Vosges Mountains are a sight to behold.
Alsace’s semi-continental climate typically brings cold and dry winters and hot summers to the region ... perfect for high-quality wines!
Since I myself visited the region back in October 2026, I am delighted to present 6 exceptional fine wines from the most exclusive small grower from Gueberschwihr, Domaine Ernest Burn, " Clos de St Imer ", near Colmar.
I shall present a vertical tasting of their Riesling and Pinot Gris GRAND CRU wines, as well as their unique Vendanges Tardives 2006 "Late Harvest" wine and the little (and expensive!) gem that is the Selection de Grains Nobles 2006, " Selection of Noble Rot grapes". And yes, you read it correctly, those wines are 20 years old and simply at their apogée ... aged to perfection!
Served with a platter of meats, pâtés and cheeses to enhance the profile of each carefully selected wines.
A refined tasting for refined palates!
Only 12 places available, so book early to avoid disappointment!!!
