Event Description
Along the 600 miles of the Loire valley there are no less than 50 appellations and over 43,000 hectares of vines from Nantes on the Atlantic coast to Sancerre/Pouilly Fume in the central vineyards. No wonder the choice is so diverse!
The majority of the production is in white wines, then rosé, red and sparkling.
Tonight we will taste seven wines which will showcase the diversity of the region from each of the five main grape varieties on the Loire - Chenin Blanc, Melon de Bourgogne, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay and Cabernet Franc. So there will be sparkling, whites, rosés and reds! What is not to like?
