WSET qualifications are a 'must have' for anybody seriously considering a career in the wine industry. They are also a great way for wine enthusiasts to learn about wine in a fun and structured way.

Essex Wine School is also the leading provider of WSET courses in Essex. We are proud to partner with the Drinks Trust via their DEVELOP programme, to support those on a low income to join our flagship WSET courses. 

Our courses are held locally, with free parking, plus we have a pass rate, across all Levels, that is higher than the international average.

Essex WSET Courses at a glance

WSET Level 1 in Wine:  Discover and taste the main grape varieties, plus explore food and wine pairing. 6 wines tasted / 7 hrs tuition / 0 hrs home study / multiple-choice exam. 

WSET Level 2 in Wine:  Taste a wider range of grapes and wine styles and start exploring the wines regions of the world. 35+ wines tasted / 18 hrs tuition / 14 hrs home study / multiple-choice exam. 

WSET Level 3 in Wine:  Delve deeper into the world of wines gaining a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Learn how to assess wines accurately, and confidently explain wine style and quality. 60+ wines tasted / 30 hrs tuition / 54 hrs home study / 2 hour exam: multiple-choice & written answer paper + blind-tasting paper. We offer a flexible payment plan to help spread the cost of this course. Please contact us for more details.

We also offer Level 1 in Wine and Level 2 in Wine ONLINE with live tuition via Zoom.
