Talkin' Terroir 4 Week Course

For our next 4-week adventure we’ll be turning our attention to the role that particular landscapes play in crafting the wines which we love. The soil, the direction of the vineyard, the proximity of mountains or water, what difference does this make?

Each week we’ll pick a particular terroir or ‘place’ and explore how they shape the wines produced there. Our timetable looks a bit like this:

• Wk 1 Rivers and Lakes incl Duero/Douro, Loire, Mosel, Burgenland and Finger Lakes
• Wk 2 Hills and Mountains incl Alps, Pyrenees, Andes, Voges, The Meseta
• Wk 3 Seas and Oceans incl Tasman Sea, Atlantic, Pacific, Mediterranean, Gulf Stream
• Wk 4 Volcanoes incl Massif Central, Campania, Sicily, Soave, Canary Islands

 Expect to taste some new and fascinating wines and learn a little more about what factors shaped the liquid in your glass….
