Friends of Ham Sherry Week Pairing Evening with Carmen from Jerez DO

Join us for an International Sherry Week Event not to be missed! Not only will we be pairing delicious Fino, Amontillado etc. with superb charcuterie and cheese; but you'll also enjoy the company of Carmen Aumesquet Rodríguez from the Sherry Consejo! 

We know how much you love our evenings at Friends of Ham, and once we knew we would be doing this special event for International Sherry Week we couldn't think of a better place to host this special Sherry Pairing Evening. 

Carmen is the director of promotional activities for the Sherry Consejo. It's her job to help all wine lovers enjoy and understand Sherry just a bit more. Laura has worked with her before, running training sessions for the trade a few years ago, and Carmen was a tutor on Laura's Sherry Educator Course in 2025. But we've never had a chance to introduce her to the Wine School audience, until now!

Carmen will be joining Laura to host the evening, pouring wine, answering your questions, chatting at the tables. Expect a relaxed and informal tasting session with emphasis on exploring the Sherry styles, enjoying the pairings and chatting with Carmen. 

For your pairing evening we'll be enjoying a welcome drink on arrival and then 6 Sherries perfectly paired with delicious charcuterie and cheese from Friends of Ham. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any dietary requirements. We can accomodate vegetarian pairings, but sadly not vegan. Part of the food offering will be bread, crackers etc. so please let us know if you require gluten-free versions.
