South London Wine School is excited to invite you on a thrilling wine journey to the breathtaking Alpine regions of Europe to celebrate International Riesling Day. Prepare to be transported to the stunning landscapes as we explore the beauty and diversity of Alpine wines
Up above the heat of the Mediterranean, the Alps with their cool nights and sunny days create a unique environment for growing grapes. We have carefully curated a selection of outstanding wines from Alpine regions in France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Fresh, pure fruit flavours, intensely aromatic and with crisp acidity, these wines are reflective of their environment. Grape varieties express themeselves differently up here as they have to adapt to the extreme conditions. You will taste international varieties such as Reisling and Chardonny but also indiginous varieties that are more difficult to find. Discover the history, culture, and unique winemaking techniques that make Alpine wines stand out in the wine world.
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines, tasting sheet, use of professional tasting glasses and nibbles
