Event Description
This luscious fortified wine has a long history and is closely associated with the British. Many of the most famous Port houses are still owned and run by British families. Port is named after the City of Porto, where the wines are matured. However, the wine starts its life in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the beautiful Douro valley and is produced from a diverse range of Portugal's indigenous grapes varieties.
Come and learn about how and where it's produced and taste six beautiful Port wines, including LBV Port, aged Tawny Port, Crusted Port and a very special Vintage Port.
We will also provide a selection of cheeses for you to experience one of the best food and wine pairings of them all. It also makes a rather surprisingly good match to chocolate too!
Stop Press - The event on 5th December had long been sold out, due to unprecedented demand, an extra date of 19/12/25 has been added, reserve your place now.
