Event Description
While you may know the Rhône Valley for its iconic wines, this region lies at the heart of gastronomic France. Here the land is equally celebrated for its fine produce and distinctive culinary traditions that subtly change as the river winds its way south from Lyon in the north down to Avignon and then on to the Mediterranean Sea.
The heartland of French gastronomy
Lyon is regarded by many as the gastronomic capital of France where the cuisine is a perfect blend of family, tradition, French ‘convivialité’ and quality. Here you’ll find fine butter and cream-based dishes and some of the best charcuterie & saucisson in France.
As you head further south towards the Mediterranean, the traditions change with the landscape. Fine guinea fowl from Drôme, pigeon and locally reared chicken feature proudly in imaginative dishes created using local truffle, olive oil, garlic and an abundance of fresh, local herbs.
Not just big reds
Renowned for its big, bold reds from world famous AOC’s including Hermitage and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Rhône Valley produces a mouthwatering array of wines including, lighter, fruity reds, fine whites and dessert wines.
We’ve created a bespoke 3 course menu for our wine & dine evening taking inspiration from the culinary traditions and the produce of the Rhône. The evening will start with an aperitif and then we have paired each course with Rhône wines that we think raise each dish to new heights.
We hope you will join us for this evening of fine Rhône gastronomy.
The menu for the evening will be sent to guests one week prior to the event.
