Event Description
Starting with argueably some of the finest bubbles in the world, this evening promises to be an exploration of 2 of the world's greatest grape varieties; Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (with a splash of Gamay).
A deep dive into the world of Champage will be followed by a delicious journey through Burgundy, finishing at the ever popular Beaujolais.
We will explore the following:
- Champagne varieties
- Champagne big boys vs the growers
- Chablis - is there more to it that un-oaked, clean wines?
- Burgundy - it's simpler than it looks
- Burgundy labels
- Vintages
- Beaujolais - it's not all bubblegum Beaujolais Nouveau from the 1980s
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, tasting sheet, and use of professional tastings glasses.
