Event Description
We have another sneaky little Meet the Maker for you all to enjoy! This time we welcome Brendon Butler of Meinert Wines, all the way from sunny South Africa. It's another casual affair where you are welcome to stop off for the while evening or just a while. Although the wines on show tonight are pretty knockout, you might just wanna stay!
Meinert make incredible wines over in Stellenbosch, although they also work with a few additional vineyards in cooler regions such as Hemel-en-Aarde (a district within Walker Bay). They boast some rarieties in the range, such as a white Merlot and a Rhone-esque Syrah. Tonight we will be tasting through-
- Merlot (RRP £22)
- Pinotage (RRP £20)
- Cool Climate Syrah 'The Graduate' (RRP £25)
- Top Cuvee 'Synchronicity' Cabernet Blend (RRP £55)
- Sauvignon Blanc (RRP £18)
- White Merlot (RRP £35)
- Their top white and Decanter Silver medal Chenin Blanc (RRP £50)
It's a heck of a line up and Brendon will be on hand to discuss the wines with you all. A bit more about Brendon- he is head winemaker and one of only 110 people to Cape Wine Masters exam (which was started in 1983). In fact, 'The Graduate' Syrah was named in honour of this stunning achievement!
As before, our venue will be Bottega Milanese, 2 Bond Court, Leeds LS1 2JZ.
We'll be pouring wines from 6.30pm through until 9pm. But if you need to arrive a little later or leave a bit earlier, then it's very much a drop in and taste at your leisure, sort of event.
