Event Description
Japan is famous for its four distinct seasons, which influence all aspects of life. Join us to taste some exclusive seasonal releases of summer sakes, and learn what makes these bottles special!
During this hot, muggy time of year, sake styles that help beat the heat in different ways fly off the shelves. From sparkling sake to lower alcohol / higher acid refreshing thirst-quenchers, intense zippy unpasteurized sake to robust full strength styles that stand up to service on the rocks (or even frozen into a slushee!), there is a summer sake to suit every palate. These varied drinks share some common threads: they are all refreshing, great chilled and very smashable! This class will be great for everyone from sake novices to aficionados, with lots of surprises in store.
On this evening you will taste six sake from a variety of styles, accompanied by fine cheeses and Japanese-influenced nibbles.
