Premium Wines of the New World: New Zealand & Australia

In this fascinating tasting we discover the two countries who have rightly made a huge impression on the UK wine trade in the past decade, New Zealand and Australia. We will discover the classics of Australia such as Shiraz and Chardonnay but we'll focus more on the emerging regions that are producing more complex Shiraz and unoaked refreshing Chardonnay. We'll also look at a fab sparkling wine and a mouthwatering Riesling. 

With New Zealand we'll taste a premium Sauvignon Blanc, but focus more on the emerging varieties such as the flavoursome Pinot Gris, the fashionable Pinot Noir and the stunning Cabernet/Merlot blends from the North Island. The wines tasted on this tasting are of a much higher premium than our World of Wine Introduction Tastings - book to taste some lovely wines! 

All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines (including Premier Cru) sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them; full tasting notes; tasting sheet; use of professional tastings glasses; a small selection of delicious cheese and charcuterie (with crackers) is served at this tasting.
