Event Description
Did you know that nearly half of all wine made globally comes from just 10 grape varieties? Yet there are about 4,000 varieties used to make wine. Rare grape varieties are often little known outside their home regions. And yet, they make joyfully unusual wines and it’s well worth exploring them further.
We're showcasing the least planted, most unusual grapes from around the world for you to broaden your palate and tantalize your tastebuds! These won't be grape varieties you've tasted on a WSET course or our World of Wine course - they'll be hidden grapes.
Each week we'll taste a mix of whites and reds, with the odd rosé, orange or sparkling wine. You could find a new favourite!
This course is part of a 3 week wine exploration course which you can book here.
