Event Description
Explore the wines & food of Portugal as we pair a specially curated selection of six stunning wines with a traditional 3-course meal inspired by Portuguese culinary traditions.
Portugal may be small in size, but its wine and food culture is anything but modest. From the sun-drenched vineyards of the Douro Valley to the wild Atlantic coastlines of the Alentejo, Portugal’s culinary heritage is a rich tapestry of bold flavours, ancient traditions and global influences bought home by the nation's seafaring explorers.
Our exclusive Wine & Dine evenings combine expert-led wine tasting with a relaxed three-course dinner; designed to bring the wine & food of Portugal vividly to life on your palate.
Our evening begins with a glass of Portuguese bubbly while we settle into the event.
A hidden gem of the wine world
Portugal is a land of discovery for wine lovers. It's home to over 250 native grape varieties you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Whether it’s the powerful reds made with Touriga Nacional, the zippy freshness of Vinho Verde, or the complex, age-worthy whites of Dão, this is a country full of surprises.
Throughout the evening, you’ll be guided through six carefully selected Portuguese wines, each chosen to showcase the diversity and depth of Portugal’s winemaking; from the cooler climate Atlantic coast to the sun-drenched plains of the Alentejo to the Unesco heritage site vineyards hugging the rugged slopes of Portugal's famous Douro River.
A taste of Portugal on your plate
Portuguese cuisine is hearty, rustic, and deeply regional. It's shaped by centuries of seafaring, spice routes, and Moorish influence. Slow cooking in clay pots or traditional wood stoves creates delicious and authentic flavours. Our chef-curated 3-course menu will transport you to the heart of Portuguese dining: think world-class seafood & fish, 'Porco Preto' (the finest grade Iberico Pork), smoky piri piri, citrus and almonds.
Of course, the Portuguese are famous for their fondness for egg-based sweet treats and deserts, elevated by their expertise in pastry and careful use of subtle, sweet spice.
Guided by our expert, you’ll discover how different foods interact with acidity, tannin and flavour profiles, giving you the confidence to pair wine & food like a sommelier.
The menu for the evening will be sent to guests one week prior to the event.
