Fine Port & Cheese evening

Indulge yourself in a very special tasting dedicated to Port, one of the world's most unique wine styles.

This tasting will take you on a journey through the history of Port from the 1st recorded shipment in 1678 to the modern day. We'll explain what makes it one of the world's most fascinating wines and the difference between the main styles.

The evening kicks off with a White Port served as a refreshing long-drink and includes a tasting of six different Ports covering all the major Port styles, including Ruby, LBV, Tawny & Vintage.

You're also in for a real treat, as the tasting will include a fine vintage Port. We're busy tasting a range of vintage Ports and will announce the vintage prior to the tasting date.

Of course, fine Port deserves good cheese, so we'll use our food pairing expertise to pair a couple of the Ports with some equally fine cheeses. To get you in the festive spirit you'll enjoy one of the Ports paired with a locally sourced artisanal Mince Pie.

The tasting will include the following wines:

• A bright and fruity Reserve Ruby Port
• A classic LBV from a leading Port house
• A single-vineyard Vintage Port
• A nutty, aged Tawny Port
