To put it simply - Bordeaux wine comes from the eastern part of Bordeaux in South Western France whilst Burgundy wine is from the South Eastern regions of Burgundy.
The climate in Bordeaux grapes is considered to be moderate, whereas Burgundy has a cooler climate.
Generally Bordeaux wine has aromas and flavours of dark fruit. While Burgundy wine can have earthiness, spicey notes, and ripe red fruit flavors.
The finest Bordeaux wine is classified as a Premier Cru Classe, while the finest Burgundy wine is a Premier Grand Cru Classe.
