For a really special evening of a collection of Australia’s finest Chardonnay we welcome Master of Wine Emma Symington to West London Wine School online who will expertly guide us through Australia’s coolest climate regions. Including regions such as Geelong, Tasmania, Margaret River, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and Adelaide Hills Emma has hand-picked six world class wines that she truly believes showcases some of the best of Australia’s signature white variety.

A WSET-certified educator, Emma judges at several international wine competitions and also writes for the Wine Monkeys blog, for which she won the Emerging Wine Writer category in the 2014 Louis Roederer Awards.
Australia’s Cool Climate Chardonnay
Diversity in both terroir and winemaking in Australia’s cool-climate regions is resulting in an exciting spectrum of premium Chardonnays. The world-class potential of Chardonnay from cool-climate states Tasmania and Victoria has long been demonstrated in complex and cellarworthy wines such as Giaconda, Eileen Hardy and Penfold’s Yattarna. High natural acidity allows cooler-climate producers to leverage layer, length and line, bringing tension, even nervosity, to the palate. Invariably bottled under screwcap, the wines age well, deepening in complexity.
