About This Session
This is a standalone session from the German Wine Scholar programme, designed to give you a thorough understanding of two regions that sit at the heart of Germany’s wine identity. You’ll enjoy a guided tasting of carefully selected wines that reflect the regions' remarkable range while building your knowledge in an interactive classroom setting—very much in the West London Wine School style.
Why Mosel & Ahr Matter
The Mosel is world-famous for its steep slate vineyards and beautifully expressive Rieslings, ranging from delicately off-dry to lusciously sweet. It’s a region that defines elegance and precision in wine.
In contrast, the Ahr offers something entirely different: one of Germany’s leading red wine regions, celebrated for its refined, cool-climate Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder). Together, these regions showcase the remarkable diversity of German wine.
