Charlie graduated with a Biology degree from Bristol and became a software developer before realizing the error of ways and following his true calling in the wine trade, we know it should have been obvious with a family name like Goblet!
His 25 year wine career is also as eclectic as his background, from Majestic via an independent wine shop in London under the guidance of two Masters of Wine, a wine PR company representing the Port Trade in the UK as well as Oddbins, Marks and Spencer; then a chance opportunity to flee to the Cote d'Azur led to selling wines to the Super Yacht industry and teaching the WSET program to yacht crew; before heading back to London for a stint brokering fine wines internationally before running wine events for an online wine company.
A certified WSET educator, he has led many a tasting and visited too many wineries around the globe to count, loving nothing more than talking about wine with a glass in hand.
Favourite wine? His palate will always yearn for mature Bordeaux
Favourite food & wine pairing? A slow roasted leg of lamb with a Cote Rotie ...... the perfect pairing according to him!
