Event Description
When you think of great wine, it can be easy to imagine the heartlands of Europe: The sparkling wines of Champagne; the famous clarets of Bordeaux, Spain's Riojas and Italy's Barolos. Most people don’t consider the English Wines to be in the class.
That’s all changing, though. As the summers grow warmer and the climate becomes more suitable to winemaking, the English wine industry is beginning to produce wines that are more than capable of matching anything from the continent. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Bacchus are varieties of grape that are beginning to thrive in England.
We will be tasting a selection of some of the best English wines, from sparkling, white, rosé and even reds.
