A Taste of Spain & Portugal with Lunch

Spend a day discovering some of the most exciting wines of Spain and Portugal, with great food, plenty of wine and lots to talk about along the way.

We’ll start with a glass of premium sparkling wine, before moving on to five very different white wines. You’ll discover some of the grapes and regions that make Spanish and Portuguese wine so interesting - from fresh and aromatic whites to richer, more textured styles.

There’s no need to know your Albariño from your Alvarinho before you arrive. I’ll talk you through each wine in a relaxed, easy-to-understand way, giving you plenty of opportunity to taste, compare and decide what you like.

After the morning tasting, we’ll take a break for a delicious lunch. It’s a chance to relax, enjoy some good food and chat about the wines we’ve tasted so far.

Then it’s time for the reds.

We’ll taste five more wines, exploring the huge variety of styles Spain and Portugal have to offer — from fresh, juicy reds to richer, more structured wines and some of the classic styles these countries are famous for.

The reds will be served alongside a selection of cheeses, and, of course, we’ll finish with something a little special: a carefully chosen dessert wine to round off the day.

Throughout the tasting, I’ll share the stories behind the wines, explain the grapes and regions, and give you a better idea of what makes each wine different. The emphasis is on enjoying the wines, asking questions and finding out what you like - rather than needing to know the “right” answers.
