Event Description
There's a great deal of excitement in the wine world about old vines - and for good reason. Deep rooted through age, they transmit a level of terroir into their wines that is hard to find in younger vines. Their beautifully gnarled and twisted branches, formed over countless vintages, deliver a yield that, while small, is concentrated and delicious. What's more, their solidity and permanence give them the ability to adapt and thrive whatever climate chaos is thrown at them.
We've scoured the corners of the wine world for the very best examples from France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Australia and South Africa for this unmissable masterclass, in association with The Old Vine Conference.
We'll be tasting an impressive line-up of simply superb wines:
Sparklehorse 2022, Ken Forrester Wines, Western Cape, South Africa
The Virgilius 2023, Yalumba, Eden Valley, Australia
Château de Sabazan 2018, Plaimont, Saint Mont, France
Cuvée A 2022, Juan Gil, Jumilla, Spain
Serpico 2016, Feudi di San Gregorio, Campania, Italy
Argentino 2022, Catena Zapata, Mendoza, Argentina
Join us for some incredible wines, wonderful stories about the people behind the labels and some seriously fascinating discoveries about the capabilities of old vines!
