8 Week World of Wine Course

Each week we will focus on a different region, tasting at least six wines, and discovering what makes each region unique. You will find out how to pick out the best wines in supermarkets, decipher wine lists in restaurants, and understand the different terms used on wine labels. All the while tasting some fantastic wines and finding some new favourites!

• Burgundy & Loire; plus tasting skills & understanding wine labels
• Bordeaux, Rhone & South of France; plus how wine is made & the use of oak
• Alsace, Germany, Austria & Hungary; plus how to serve wine, and the importance of soil
• Italy, Spain & Portugal; plus food & wine matching
• Australia & New Zealand; plus the use of oak, other wine treatments
• Chile & Argentina; plus the importance of climate & weather
• North America & South Africa; plus how to store wine & common wine faults
• Sparkling and Dessert Wines from around the World plus Champagne - how it's made, difference between Vintage/Non Vintage, and tips on where to buy.

What if I have to miss any evenings?

Not a problem! You may either send a substitute, or if you give us 7 days notice, we can transfer you to the session of a subsequent World of Wine Course or anoter event, or you can obtain a refund voucher valid for other South London Wine School courses and tastings.

The World of Wine course also makes a fabulous gift and can be purchased as a gift voucher.
