Event Description
Madiran in south-west France is home to the tannat grape, which accounts for the majority of all Domaine Pichard's Madirans, but the significant proportion of cabernet franc in the blends plays an important role by tempering the muscular tannins of the tannat. This ultimately leads to an especially interesting expression of this wonderful region.
The wine is famously a keeper, capable of ageing over many years and often needing that time to unfurl and soften. A great food wine, it’s the perfect answer when a full and gutsy red is required.
This special tasting will give you the opportunity to taste the estate's top cuvee's from older vintages.
