Event Description
The lands of the Eastern Mediterranean basin have a very long history when it comes to wine.
The Phoenicians were a sea faring and trading people from what is now Lebanon who brought vines with them to many areas of the Mediterranean sea further west. The Phocaeans from an Ionian Greek city on the coast of Anatolia followed establishing viticulture in many parts of the Mediterranean including southern France.
This tasting will introduce you to the wines and grape varieties found today in Greece, Turkey and Lebanon. You'll get to hear about the history and the key wine styles and regions today as we taste six different wines.
This tasting includes a digital presentation, hand out notes and some cheese and crackers.
