Event Description
The Loire Valley claims to be the most diverse wine region in France and with good reason.
This is the country's second largest producer of sparkling wines after Champagne. Its crisp, fruity white wines - Muscadet, Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Vouvray and many more - are world famous. There are lots of rosé and red wines to discover too. If that wasn't enough, this region produces some excellent age worthy sweet wines.
Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Melon Blanc dominate white plantings but their are local varieties too like Romorantin.
Red and rosé wines are made from Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinor Noir and other local varieties like Grolleau.
This tasting includes six well chosen wines, a digital presentation, tasting notes and some cheese.
