There is so much that Italy has to offer. The world's top producer has hundreds of indigenous grape varieties and a passionate regional heritage and culture.
Piedmont is home to Italy's much-revered Nebbiolo grape from the region's top two DOCGs - Barolo DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG. However, there are plenty of other gems to shout about that often go undiscovered by most wine drinkers.
We'll bring the entire region, the vineyards, winemakers and grapes alive for you as we talk a viticultural 'stroll' through some of the most beautiful vineyards, producing the most beautiful wines, in the whole of Italy!
Six wines on tasting will show you:
- Four Nebbiolo wines from different vintages and regions inc Barolo, Barbaresco and Northern Piemonte to taste how Nebbiolo ages and how it expresses itself in different soils and subzones
- Two other premium red wines from the Dolcetto and Barbera grapes
Your tasting will include: tasting samples of six carefully selected wines, a digital presentation, tasting notes and tasting samples of Italian cheeses.
