Course Description
In this brand-new course, we’ll be looking at wine not on a regional basis but through the lens of sixteen of the world’s most important grape varieties. Each session will include three examples each of a white grape and a red one, with the aim of demonstrating how the same basic raw material can be moulded in different ways, according to the place where the grapes grow and the desires of the winemakers.
It’s an ideal course for those who’ve discovered that they love wine and are now looking to delve a little deeper. It will also provide those who’ve already done the “World of Wine” course to take a different look at wine.
Each of eight sessions costs £30, but you can sign up for all eight for just £210 – so eight sessions for the price of seven.
The grapes are as follows:-
- Viognier/Pinot Noir
- Muscat/Cabernet Sauvignon
- Chenin Blanc/Tempranillo
- Semillon/Grenache
- Chardonnay/Nebbiolo
- Pinot Gris/Syrah
- Riesling/Merlot
- Sauvignon Blanc/Sangiovese
