Event Description
Join us for an evening exploring the delicious world of rosé wine. We will be tasting a range of rosé wines from fantastic summer quaffers and some higher end examples which we hope will make the doubters take rosé a little more seriously….
Pale pink, southern French rosé has dominated the market in recent years. The French often call it "vin de soif" or swimming pool rosé, a large glass of wine filled to the brim with ice. It's incredibly refreshing (particularly if you are languishing by a pool!) but this is only a small percentage of what's currently on offer on the rosé market.
We'll explore 6 delicious rosé wines from around the world from different grapes and made in different ways. We will be travelling to France, Italy, Greece and England along the way.
If you're view of rosé wine is that it's slightly off-dry and best drunk ice cold, think again! These wines will reveal a whole new side to this wonderfully colourful wine. And the best part is that rosé is one of the most versatile wines to pair with a huge range of foods. So we'll make sure we include lots of food & wine pairing tips during the tasting.
Tastings include a digital presentation, hand out notes, nibbles and are led by a qualified wine tutor.
