Biodynamic Wines

Biodynamic winemaking - pseudoscience or is there something in it after all? Does it matter to the way wines taste? Or even your enjoyment of them?

Rudolf Steiner certainly thought so when he studied the impact the lunar cycle has on plants in the 1920s.  The lunar cycle controls the movement of tidal waters around the globe so if plants are 85% water, surely the lunar cycle has an impact on their growth? Does that impact extend to humans (we're 75-80% water)?

In biodynamic farming, the farm is viewed as a whole living organism, requiring a diversity of animal and plant species—with an emphasis on pasture, native plants and pollinator plants—to thrive. In biodynamic farming, practitioners believe that everything you need to make the plant healthy is provided on the farm already.  

This certainly makes for better grapes (and wine!) but what about it's impact on you, the wine drinker? Have you ever wondered why wines taste better one some days than others? Ever thought about your habits inconjunction with the lunar cycle (the word 'lunatic' is thought provoking enough!).
