Discover Rioja

Rioja has a proud history of winemaking and oits the best known Spanish wine region for a reason. This wine tasting evening will introduce you to the amazing diversity of wines and wine styles that the region has to offer today in six wines. 

We'll cover the wine styles,  subzones, villages, key grapes and producers (new and traditional) that make this such a world famous wine region.
You'll get up to speed with recent changes to Rioja's wine law and labelling and taste six well chosen red wines that will give you a window into the different styles of Rioja being made today.

Six Rioja wines on tasting will include:

• A white Rioja
• Several classic red blends
• Single varietal red wine (Garnacha, Graciano or Mazuela)
• A Village wine
• A single vineyard wine
• Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva styles

You will get the chance to try wines from classic traditional producers like Muga and Marques de Murrieta alongside younger generation winemakers.

Your wine experience includes six wine tasting samples, tasting notes, an interactive digital presentaion, a professionally qualified wine host and some cheeses and crackers.
