We've paired with award winning local business Sussex Gourmand for a fun evening of gourmet canapés and delicious wines.

Get party ready and enjoy and great evening out at the wine school as you taste six hand picked wines with three canapé selections.

"Heralded ‘outstanding’ and ‘delicious’ in the Great Taste Awards, Sussex Gourmand's artisan cured Sussex grass-fed beef and wild venison bresaola is special. It features prominently in their canapé kits that celebrate the Sussex countryside with flavours of the field, forest and sea.

Quality, ethics and local provenance sit at the heart of Sussex Gourmand and this was recognised in 2019 when they became a Great Taste producer, having won awards over three consecutive years."

Here is what you'll experience at this fun evening wine and canapé pairing:

Sea kit: Deliciously light, Scandi-style fishy delight, featuring natural Sussex oak smoked salmon (no antibiotics, growth hormones or synthetic pigmentation), beetroot relish and seaweed & dill seed thins.

Forest kit : Forest flavours that reflect where Sussex deer roam. Forest mushroom thins, sage & roasted almond pesto and our award-winning venison bresaola.

Field kit : Reinvents the Italian way to eat beef bresaola in a bite-sized flavour bomb, with parmesan and nigella seed thins, wild rocket pesto and our award-winning beef bresaola.

We will pair 1 red and 1 white wine with each Sussex Gourmand canapé selection (a total of 6 wines). The wines will be chosen with festive parties in mind. The evening will be part idea brainstorming for Christmas food and wine pairings and part party.
