Event Description
We’re big fans of Rhône Valley, and we regularly feature the wines from this fascinating part of France in our tastings. So when we were asked by Inter-Rhône, the professional association of the region’s producers, whether we’d like to host a specialised Rhône Valley tasting, we jumped at the chance.
So in March, we’re very pleased to have Certified WSET Educator and Rhône specialist Linda Field join us for an evening of Rhône wines. Linda has lived in the region and for several years ran the Auberge du Vin wine school in the hills to the east of Châteauneuf du Pape. She’ll be providing an overview of the different appellations from Côte-Rôtie and Hermitage in the North to the Luberon in the South, along with an update on current winemaking practices, marketing and tourism to bring you right up to date with this dynamic and exciting wine part of the wine world.
We’ll post the line-up for the tasting here soon, but to whet your appetite, the wines Linda’s brought along to similar events in the past have included examples from Côte Rôtie, Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Tavel, Vinsobres and Saint Joseph. And because we’re generous souls, we’ll be augmenting her selection with a couple of wines from our vaults so you’ll be able to taste no fewer than eight wines on the night, with some cheese on the side to nibble on.
Thanks to the generosity of Inter-Rhône, we’re able to offer this tasting for just £35 per person. It promises to be an excellent evening, so do book soon!
