Event Description
PLEASE NOTE - THERE HAS BEEN A SLIGHT DATE CHANGE TO THESE TASTINGS DUE TO HEAVY FROST IN FRANCE.
NEW DATES - 29TH APRIL AND 6TH MAY
She hails from Ashby-de-la-Zouch
She learned her winemaking skills from an Australian who lives in Barcelona
Her winery is in an old train-shed
She lost an entire vintage of one of her wines through an act of vandalism
And she produces Hairy Grenache…
Katie Jones is not your typical wine producer, but the wines she makes at her winery in the village of Tuchan are among the best and most characterful you’ll find in southern France. And we’re thrilled that she’s going to be joining us for consecutive Thursdays - 29th and 6th May to tell us more about her unusual route to becoming a wine producer and to present a selection of her wines. Namely...
- Whites: Katie Jones White, Macabeu
- Rosé: Après la Pluie Rosé
- Reds: Hairy Grenache, Regular (non-hairy) Grenache, Fitou
Book your online access below at a cost of just £35 for both sessions and we will send instructions on how to join the meetings through the Zoom platform*. The sessions begin at 7:30pm and will last around 90 minutes – they’re an hour ahead of us in France and we don’t want to detain Katie for too long!
Once you have booked your online access for the tasting, we’ll send you instructions on how to order your wines from Fareham Wine Cellar at a cost of just £95 for the six bottles including delivery to any UK mainland address. In order to guarantee arrival of the wines before the first session on April 29th, please book your place by Saturday April 24th.
Supplies of some of these wines are limited, so we would recommend securing your place sooner rather than later for what will be two fabulous evenings of southern French wines with a distinct English accent!
*If you buy a place and then are unable to make either evening, we can forward you a recording of the sessions afterwards
