Event Description
France produces some of the most famous wines in the world, but what makes it truly a great happy hunting-ground for wine lovers is the diversity on offer. So while some of those renowned wines sell for astronomical prices, there are thousands of others that aren't as well known and so offer brilliant value, not to mention flavours you won't find elsewhere.
So do please join us as we taste our way through a selection of tasty whites and fine reds, exploring some of these famous wine making regions along the way:
- Alsace (aromatic unoaked whites)
- Burgundy (for many the summit of fine wine, but also home to delicious Beaujolais)
- The Loire Valley (ideal for lovers of crisp whites)
- Bordeaux (elegant reds, underrated whites)
- The Rhone Valley (rich and robust reds)
- The South (everything from crisp Provence rosé through tangy Picpoul to warm and welcoming Minervois)
If you are interested in discovering more about one of the oldest wine producing countries in the world, this is the tasting for you. The great value price includes the tasting of at least 6 wines plus some tasty cheese and biscuits to nibble on!
***This is the first session of our European Highlights course, in which we'll be exploring the wines of France, Spain and Italy. You can book all three for £105, a saving of £15 - more details HERE
