Event Description
A chance to explore the wines & regions of the very, very, very Old World producing countries, such as Greece, Israel, Armenia, Georgia, Lebanon, etc.
They use local varieties, deeply rooted in Germanic, Greek, Slavic and Roman cultural influences, for creating wines in a modern, fresh styles thrughout.
Example of the wines we shall taste on the night:
- A wine made with one of Greece’s finest indigenous grape from the best wine region of Nemea
- A red blend from Lebanon
- A Kosher wine from Israel
- THE infamous Red Bull's Blood wine from Hungary
- A wine from one of Georgia's indigenous grape varieties, from the country's most awarded winery
- A wine fermented and aged in clay amphoras, orange wine is THE wine par excellence of Georgia - being the cradle of wine itself. A treat not to be missed from what is believed to be the very first wine-producing country in the world!
Your tasting will include: tasting samples of six carefully selected wines, full handouts and wine notes, a 2 hour interactive presentation with Q&A.
