Merlot sometimes suffers from an image problem we think - it's widely grown and yet is frequently blended in with other, big-name grapes (you know who you are!) and so looses a lot of it's identity. Those blends can make some of the best wines in the world but we thought it was time for Merlot to be stage central and take a bow!
We'll look at some of the best wines from around the world, reflecting the range of styles that Merlot can create - super soft wines from Napa; juicy fruity numbers from Chile; a more spicy red-fruit aromaed version from France and a few surprises along the way.
