Event Description
We will taste some of the myriad of indigenous grapes that make Italian wine so different and intriguing including Pecorino, Nebbiolo (Barolo), Sangiovese (Chianti), Corvina (Valpolicella), and Barbera.
Italy can be the most confusing wine country to get to know, with its enormous diversity of wine styles, often from the same town! It is, however, worth spending a little time to understand it, with the discoveries amply repaying the effort involved. We will wander through the north of the country, from the NW (Piedmont) to the NE (Veneto), through Tuscany and the Marches to the warm south (Puglia, Campania, & Sicily).
You will experience, first hand, the amazing range of grape varieties and flavours that Italy has to offer.
Taste some brilliant Italian wines in the special evening, accompanied with cheeses/meats. Great value at only £30
